3D position sensing could see wide application use
Beyond Kinect, PrimeSense wants to drive 3D sensing into more everyday consumer gear | VentureBeat.
We already see 3D sensing in Kinect and to some extent its used in smart phones and tablets. New technology intends to make it possible to sense a large amount of position information – to create new kinds of user interfaces, and for retail surveillance (systems that watch what each shopper touches within a store).
