Of interest to readers here, the new chip includes an HDR camera capability built-in – AND – it does HDR video too. That is very cool.

All of this is, however, to give people better mobile “gaming experiences”. One would think we could apply all this talent and capability to solving some real world problems. Oh well 🙁

Update: The 45 mm 3D lens uses a pair of LCD shutters that close off the left and right sides of the image, back and forth. This creates a small shift in the view. An animated example of how this works is in a previous post. What is done is that the camera captures the separate left and right images, in sequence, and in synchronization with the LCD shutters.
